Hill Climb; 30 riders. Wow! With the wind, this little 4-mile ride was more like an 8-mile effort. Some interesting results, though. The gap at the top (very top) is narrowing. Looks like a runaway from 3rd. Still nine rides left, so the gap is bound to narrow. How about the downhill ride, though. Loren clocked just under 60. His brakes were actually smoking when he tried to stop.

40K; 30 riders. Temperatures were a little cooler than last week, thankfully. Seems like it was plenty hard on the return. Of course I'm speaking for myself. There were some interesting excuses/reasons for slower than expected times: Diana Spangle -- Ran out of water John Engstrom -- Low tire Paul Meier -- Crashed in ditch (ouch!) Bill Hanf -- Dropped chain, again

10-mile; 38 riders. OK, the heat got to me this time. Guess some water would have been in order on this ride.

5-mile; 28 riders. What a change in weather! The heat is on and smoke in the air. A slight breeze, but not all that bad.

40K; 30 riders. Somewhat windy, but not as bad as the previous 40K. Seems the wind died down after the turnaround, therefore not as much help on the return as was expected.
As always, thanks, Diane Strycula for the cookies.

10-mile. We had 28 riders come out to enjoy what turned out to be pretty good conditions. The way the morning looked, I was prepared for the worse. However, the roads dried off, the wind was very slight, and the temperature was not too cool for a good, hard 10-mile time trial.

5-mile. Did we ever luck out! I was afraid the weather would be very wet, but conditions were pretty much ideal. The road was dry, no wind to speak of, the sun was shining. Shortly after the end of the TT we were having thuhderstorms. For once, things went right. Thirty-two riders took advantage of the good conditions.

Hill Climb - Finally, a pretty nice evening for a time trial. 36 riders came out to enjoy the ride. Hopefully this is an indication of conditions to come. Have to admit, though, the weather Wednesday morning wasn't so great. Glad we didn't get the rain Tuesday evening.

40K. A VERY windy day. Like a 12-mile hill climb on the way out, but the trip back was fun. 29 riders this evening.

5-mile. Someday we will have beautiful weather. The cold wind got to me this time. Some of you are immune to it. We had 49 riders this time, with 11 of those being new this week. Good turnout!

5-mile. We had a GREAT turnout, especially for the first event. There were 54 times recorded. There may have been a few who didn't record times. The weather wasn't even too bad, but it was cooling off fast.
