Race Team 2008
Chinook Cycling Club Members:
As a current member of the Chinook Cycling Club I know that this club has a long history of racing here in the Northwest. Unfortunately over the last decade the Chinook Club has not been as visible in regional races and this is due to a lack of organization and support. We would like to re-establish the Chinook Club as one of the strongest clubs in the Northwest. We have a very deep and talented pool of riders in the Tri Cities and with support these riders can win races at regional and national levels.
We are currently recruiting ridings interested in participating in a Chinook Cycling Club Race Team for the 2008 race season. This will be a competitive team primarily competing at the local and regional levels in both road and mountain bike events. The team will be open to all Chinook Club members. Members who compete in approved Chinook Cycling Club races will be eligible for race fee reimbursement during the 2008 season.
Team Goals
The race team will be an organized group of local riders who will participate in selected road and mountain bike races. Team members will represent sponsors in a professional manner and support them to the greatest extent possible. Team members will also portray a positive and healthy image while promoting cycling in our community. Lastly our ultimate goal is to have fun and to be successful. The goal of this race team is to attract club riders who have similar interests regarding training, traveling, and racing. The race team will concentrate in three areas; road races, mountain bike races, and juniors’ races.

Again, this team is open to all Chinook Club members willing to complete six races
during the 2008 season. All riders must fill out the
race team application to help
us coordinate planning and reimbursement during the 2008 season. The race team
application may be filled out and given to a Chinook Cycling Club Board Member, or
you can email me your information. Please have all information returned by February 28th, 2008 to be eligible.
